This past Saturday I attended the 4th plus size clothes swap in Leeds, and the first one I've been able to attend since I moved back to Yorkshire recently. This time it was organised by
Rebs and
Lolly who did a wonderful job. Lolly even made very fancy looking cupcakes, although I forgot all about them until it was too late! I took the zine distro with me along with a huge bag of clothes and shoes. My girlfriend Jen and I took the train to Rebecca's and Lee kindly drove us all up to Leeds.
It was amazing to meet so many awesome folks, some of whom I've met before and some who I haven't but they were all super lovely. I also bumped into a couple of people I haven't seen for years so that was a nice surprise. The best bit though, was FINALLY meeting Chloe! We've been friends for years (since the early days of Livejournal!) but we've never actually met, sometimes crossing paths like ships in the night. She also gave attendees a 25% discount in her shop,
Life's Big Canvas.)
I got some lovely things in the swap, including jeans, trousers, a few tops and the blazer below. I'll blog about them separately another time. Afterwards 17 of us went to Zizzi's for a delicious meal and raucous chats!
